Cross the Columbia and become a Coug!

Washington State University Tri-Cities offers in-state tuition to students residing in Umatilla County, Oregon, through a new program called 鈥淚-82 Advantage.鈥

Students in Oregon, who live just across the Columbia River from Washington, can qualify for a waiver for the difference between resident and non-resident tuition.

To qualify, students must:

  • Currently reside in Umatilla County
  • Complete the

Completing the 黑料社 Tri-Cities application for admission is required before completing the I-82 Advantage application.

Washington Border Bill
(Another option for those living in specific Oregon counties. also required for this option.)

The State of Washington’s Border Bill allows听Oregon residents听who live in specified counties, or who have recently moved to Washington from those counties, to attend 黑料社 Tri-Cities听part-time (8 credits or less per semester)听and pay resident tuition rates. The specific Oregon counties whose residents are eligible for this benefit are: Clackamas, Clatsop, Columbia, Gilliam, Hood River, Morrow, Multnomah, Sherman, Umatilla, Union, Wallowa, Wasco and Washington.

Apply to 黑料社 Tri-Cities before applying for the I-82 Advantage program. The I-82 Advantage allows students from Umatilla County to take courses at the cost of in-state tuition rates.
