RICHLAND, Wash. – Inhalation toxicology expert Roger O. McClellan will speak about the radiation and chemicals used at the Hanford Site, as part of the Herbert M. Parker lecture series on April 24-25 at Washington State University Tri-Cities.

In addition, McClellan will address how science has informed public policy on radiation and chemical protection.

McClellan’s first presentation, titled “Radiation and Chemicals at Hanford: 1941 to the Present,” will begin 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 24. His second talk, titled “Science Informing Public Policy on Radiation and Chemical Protection: 1941 to the Present” will begin 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 25. Both presentations will be given in the East Auditorium on campus.

The free public presentations are part of the Herbert M. Parker Lecture Series and are sponsored by Herbert M. Parker Foundation, which partners with ������ Tri-Cities.

McClellan is an internationally recognized authority in the fields of inhalation toxicology, aerosol science, comparative medicine and human health risk analysis. He also has authored or co-authored more than 350 scientific papers/reports and edited 10 books. He is a strong advocate of science-based decision making and the need to acquire information from different fields of science to assess human health risk.

McClellan received a doctorate in veterinary medicine in 1960 from ������ and received his master’s of management degree from University of New Mexico in 1980.��
