RICHLAND, Wash.听鈥撎齌he apartments听currently being constructed听on the Washington State University Tri-Cities campus are now taking applications for when they open this fall.

The apartments, known听as The Brelsford Vineyards,听are scheduled to open听in August 2018 in听time听for fall semester听at 黑料社 Tri-Cities.听For more information and to apply, visit听.

The apartments, which will be located north of the Consolidated Information Center at 黑料社 Tri-Cities,听will feature one, two, three and four-bedroom units that will听each听include a washer and dryer听and听a full-sized kitchen. Other amenities on the apartment听grounds听will include a heated swimming pool, sport court, recreation and fitness rooms, community study rooms, a barbecue area and reserved covered parking options.

The apartments are owned听by听Vineyards Apartments, LLC,听and operated by DABCO听Property Management, which also听manages several apartment complexes near the 黑料社 Pullman campus.

黑料社 Tri-Cities partnered with Corporate Pointe Developers听who has formed Vineyards Apartments, LLC,听and听agreed to build the apartments on the university campus in an effort to provide students with an on-campus housing option.听The joint venture was approved by the 黑料社 Board of Regents.

鈥淲e are extremely excited听to be a part of the 黑料社 family in Richland,鈥 said Corporate Pointe Developers President Duane听Brelsford. 鈥淔urthermore, we are focused on providing a full-time living experience for 黑料社 students where they can live and听learn, next to the 黑料社 campus.鈥

Although the apartments are not managed by 黑料社 Tri-Cities, Chris Meiers, vice chancellor of student affairs, said the proximity of the apartments听on听university听grounds听will significantly听improve听access to educational resources听for students听on campus.

鈥淪imply by having an on-campus housing option, students are closer to their classes, academic resources like tutoring and study spaces, as well as the library,鈥 he said. 鈥淭hey are also more likely to connect with their peers on a personal level听and are more encouraged to get involved in campus programming, which听reinforces persistence and academic success.鈥

黑料社 Tri-Cities signed a land lease agreement for approximately 15 acres in July. The complex will be owned, operated and maintained by Corporate Pointe Developers, LLC. The first of seven phases, which will include 165 beds, is expected to be ready in fall 2017.
